Ingredients
As a chef I am always looking for ways to make creative treats that are not only delicious, but healthy for dogs. I use real produce, real vegetables, no chemicals, no refined sugar, salt or unnatural preservatives.
Below is a list of the ingredients used in our treats and how they are beneficial to your furry best friend.
APPLE
Apples are a great source of vitamin C, vitamin A, potassium, and antioxidants. They're full of fiber which helps dogs maintain a healthy weight while assisting with their digestion.
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
Apple cider vinegar helps to improve digestion, combat yeast infections, relieves allergy symptoms and supports joint health. We use a small amount as a natural way to preserve our treats.
BACON
Bacon is a good source of protein, calcium and iron. We only use fresh bacon that is baked in the oven. Dogs LOVE bacon so in small amounts it's a great treat.
BANANA
Bananas are good sources of potassium, vitamin B6, vitamin C, fiber, magnesium, and manganese. They are also low in sodium and cholesterol.
BASIL
Basil is an anti-inflammatory and contains a high level of antioxidants which helps to prevent disease and infection.
BEEF
Beef is an excellent source of protein that helps your dog build muscle. The fat in beef can help your pup feel full and the vitamins and minerals help keep your pups coat and skin healthy. Beef is an excellent source of Zinc and Iron.
BLUEBERRY
Blueberries contain antioxidants, fiber and vitamins C and K. These nutrients support the immune system and contribute to overall health.
CARROT
Carrots are high in fiber and beta-carotene, which produces vitamin A. Beta carotene is also a powerful antioxidant. Carrots are also beneficial for eye sight.
CINNAMON
Cinnamon has anti-inflammatory properties which can reduce swelling and inflammation in dogs with arthritis, sore muscles, and joint pain.
GINGER
Ginger contains antioxidants, which protect against cell damage and works as a natural anti-inflammatory. It can improve muscle and joint health and ease canine arthritis. It can also help to decrease gas and bloating.
HONEY
Honey is a natural sweetener which can also help control allergy symptoms, skin issues, soothe stomach ulcers and reduce inflammation.
MINT
OAT FLOUR
Oat flour is a great alternative carbohydrate for dogs that may be sensitive to wheat or grains. Oatmeal contains vitamin B, which helps maintain a healthy coat.
PARMESAN CHEESE
Parmesan cheese is rich in calcium which helps with bone formation. It also contains Vitamin A and B12.
PEANUT BUTTER
Dogs LOVE peanut butter and in small amounts it can be an excellent source of protein and healthy fats. We only use natural peanut butter with no added sugar or salt.
PEAS
Peas are full of vitamins, including Vitamin A, B1, B6, C and K. Vitamin A promotes healthy eyes, muscles, nerves and skin, while vitamin C can boost your pet’s immune system. Vitamin K can also improve bone health.
SPINACH
Spinach contains vitamins A, B, C, and K, as well as calcium, iron, fiber, manganese, folate, and potassium. It boosts the immune system, energy levels, and vitality. It’s also known to benefit the heart and help prevent cancer.
STRAWBERRY
Strawberries are full of antioxidants, high in fiber and vitamin C. They can also help reduce inflammation.
SWEET POTATO
Sweet potatoes are one of the best dietary sources of vitamin A, which promotes healthy skin, coat, eyes, nerves, and muscles in dogs. Sweet potatoes are also a rich source of vitamins A, C, B6, potassium, calcium, and iron.
